Lifework has delivered contracts on behalf of Sandwell MBC, Sandwell Homes and the Safer Sandwell Partnership since 2006. These contracts involve undertaking gardening services, home security improvements and aesthetically enhancing estates and other communal areas to improve the lives of local residents.

We are proud to provide security improvement services in partnership with Sandwell MBC and the West Midlands Police under the banner of the SIS scheme. This community focussed initiative is designed to improve the security of residents who have been the unfortunate victims of burglary or domestic violence or, indeed, as a preventative measure after a spate of burglaries in a particular “hot spot”. We take referrals from West Midlands Police and Victim Support and priority is always given to the most urgent of cases.

For Sandwell Homes, we currently deliver a gardening and estate clearance service. This scheme is to provide a one-off garden tidy-up such as strimming grass, felling and removal of small trees and removal of garden waste. To take advantage of this service the customer must match at least one of the criteria set out within the paperwork and contact Sandwell Homes.

We have a wealth of experience delivering Local Authority environmental contracts.

During 2008/2009 we received a commendation in the National Foundations Awards, where Baroness Andrews on behalf of the government body for Handy Person scheme praised in particular the Gardening Scheme that we delivered as part of the Sandwell Handy Person scheme.
